Our Process.


1. Hair, Fur, or Ashes

Thanks to our advanced carbon extraction technology, we require only a small sample of hair, fur or ashes to create your memorial diamond. For customers who have not yet decided on a diamond size, we recommend bringing:

 

Approximately 5g of ashes (about 1–2 teaspoons),

 

or

 

2–5g of hair or fur (about 1–2 teaspoons, loosely packed)

 

This provides enough material for most orders up to 3ct, so you can explore your options without being limited by the sample provided. Please place the material in a sealed ziplock bag and label it with your full name. Optional: You may also include a small amount of your own hair to symbolise your eternal bond within the diamond.

 


2. Place your order

Online
Place your order directly from our online shop. We will reach out to you within 12 hours after your order has been placed to arrange a pickup of your samples.

Meet us at our showroom (Recommended)
Schedule an appointment with us and come by our showroom to choose the size and shape of the diamond you wish to create. You can have a look at our samples here to get a better gauge. We can also personally receive the hair, fur, or ashes during your appointment.

3. Flown to our facility

Your order will be labelled with a unique order number and flown to our diamond lab. This unique order number is important as you will be able to see it as we document the process of turning the hair, fur, or ashes, into a memorial diamond.


4. Carbon Extraction

The process then begins by carefully extracting carbon from the hair, fur, or ashes provided. Hair and fur are rich in carbon, which serves as the foundational element for creating diamonds- this is why we require more ashes if ashes is used. 

This carbon is then purified to ensure it is free of impurities, preparing it for diamond formation.


5. The HPHT Process

Using the High-Pressure High-Temperature (HPHT) method, the purified carbon is placed in a specialised growth chamber. Inside the chamber, conditions replicate those found deep within the Earth — with extreme pressure and temperatures exceeding 2000°C. Under these conditions, the carbon atoms bond together, crystallising into a rough diamond.


6. Cutting and Polishing

Once the rough diamond is formed, it undergoes expert cutting and polishing to achieve the desired shape and maximum brilliance. Whether it’s a timeless round cut or an elegant pear shape, our skilled craftsmen ensure every diamond meets our exacting quality standards.


7. Certification by IGI

For diamonds 0.50 carats and above, we partner with the International Gemological Institute (IGI) for certification. This ensures the diamond is independently assessed and graded for its colour, clarity, cut, and authenticity. While diamonds under 0.50 carats are not IGI-certified, they are crafted with the same precision and care to meet our high standards.


8. Setting

If you have selected a jewellery design from our shop, your diamond will then be set with the design you've chosen. After which, it will be sent back to our showroom.

9. Collection

We will contact you after a quick processing time of 3 months when your diamond is ready to be collected. Due to the nature of the high valued items, we recommend customers to pick it up from our showroom for a quicker and safer turnaround. Videos of the process making the diamonds will be sent after.
